This Shatkam (six verses) are composed in भुजङ्गी छन्द (Bhujangi meter). And it has a very peculiar structure - first Shankaracharya states what ‘He’ is not, and uses the ‘Na’ prefix profusely and then at the end of each verse ‘He’ explains what he is? I am the pure, eternal blissful conciousness, I am at that auspiciousness (called Shiva).
