Visualisation technique (Simple):
When you chant Stotras, it is very important to visualize it. Visualization is the most important aspect, cleansing and purifying you, which brings you closer to the results. That is what takes you closer to your Devata. Merely chanting with no emotion connected is of no use. Words have meaning, and that meaning has to be felt and then verbally expressed.
Follow this simple method:
- Go through the entire blog at first.
- Then, verse by verse, study each of the words and visualize them. Need not be one single day. Do it over a period of 7 to 10 days.
- Every day, take the next set of words and visualize. For example: raṇaparvatotpāṭana. raṇa – in the battlefield; parvata - mountains; utpāṭana – uprooting from the roots. Imagine Hanuman uprooting mountains and holding them high on the battlefield.
- Hold that visualization for as long as you can. Absorb that feeling and energy. Do this exercise for all the words. Take your time. No rush.
- Once you have mastered it, chant Hanumad Vadvanal again and feel the joy and surge of emotion. This is the original way to chant Stotras.
- When you chant Hanumad Vadvanal after mastering the visualization, you don't need to hold it for a long time. You will need to hold the visualization as you chant based on your speed of chanting.
How to conclude Hanuman Sadhanas:
The conclusion of any Sadhana is called as Udyāpana. The process of formally marking the end of a spiritual discipline is called Udyāpana Vidhi (उद्यापन विधि).
If you began your Hanuman Sadhanas on February 12th, you can conclude it on March 24th or March 25th.
You can check the three methods to do Udyāpana on this post; click here

I offer my namaskars to the Hanuman who is a hero among the heroes (Vira has another meaning explained later). One who is the provider of solution to all problems created by malefic planets, ghosts, evil spirits by removing them forcibly from our lives.
The other meaning of Viras are the ones who have transcended the limitations of the body. They have mastered their senses and feel no hunger or thirst like us. Those are the real Viras which are even mentioned in Lalita Sahasranama. Only those are supposed to be giving the Bali and doing the Pancha Makara Sadhana. They are beyond the control of senses and time. They truly know the nature of time. Hence Hanuman is called a Mahavira - One who is the adept of all adepts in Tantra Shastra.

bhūta jvara - fever caused by evil spirits; ekāhika - fever that stays for a day (first degree); dvyāhika - fever that stays for two days; tryāhika - for three days; cāturthika - for four days or more;
santāpa jvara - high burning fever with deep regret and repentance; viṣama jvara - irregular or uneven spontaneous fever; tāpa jvara - high burning fever; māheśvara vaiṣṇava jvarān - fever caused by Maheshwar and Vaishnava Jvara Astra; chindhi chindhi - cut through and destroy
Here, Hanuman is requested to cut through and destroy all kinds of fever. Even the fever caused by evil entities and Astra. Remember, Vibhishana being a Rakshasa, knew the different kinds of evil entities that exist, which can impact us tremendously. He himself wanted protection from that, and this is how he sought it.
What is Maheshwar and Vaishnava Jwara Astra? When Shiva was excluded from Daksha's yajna, His wife, Sati, was overcome with sorrow. Noticing her anguish, Shiva's third eye released a drop of sweat, from which a fearsome creature emerged, glowing like a flame.
The being, named Jvara, was a jet-black dwarfish with sharp eyes, a green moustache, and hair standing erect. Draped in blood-red attire, Jvara spread fever among the Devas. Later, as Hayagriva, Vishnu was afflicted by Jvara but defeated him with the Sudarshana Chakra. Revived by Brahma, Jvara gained three faces, three feet, and the ability to move in all directions. This Jvara is the Astra used mainly by evil entities. Hanuman is requested to destroy and cut through it, which He does, in fact, at a dashing speed that no one can withstand.

yakṣa – referring to malefic forms of Yaksha; brahmarākṣasa – a class of malevolent demons; bhūta - ghosts; preta - spirits; piśācān – a class of demons even lower than yaksha and rakshasa, uccāṭaya uccāṭaya – to forcefully remove or discard; ehi – ehi has two meanings. One is rise and come. The other implicit meaning is rise and come now.
Here, you are asking Hanuman to forcefully remove all types of demons and evil forces around you. Beej Mantras have no explicit meaning that can be conveyed or explained. They have to be realised with practice. The reason they don’t have explicit meaning is because they are nothing but condensed sound waves. What does the sound of a clap mean? The sharp sound with you snap your fingers (chutki), what does that sound mean? Similarly, beej mantras do not have a meaning that is communicable to humans. They can only be realised.

Namaste and thankyou for writing this word to word meaning. This will surely help me visualize each word when I am chanting and I’ll know what I’m asking Hanuman of!
When I started chanting Hanuman chalisa I did not know any method, I just started chanting in desperation and slowly information started flowing. Then I discovered your Instagram and blog. I wouldn’t be able to thankyou enough but accept my humble pranam. I was going through office problems/bad politics and used to have various nightmares but after chanting I have got rid of these bad dreams. Once, I dreamt that I was out trekking and was bitten by a snake, they took me to the a small medical center where they did not have the right anti-venom. So I was given a possible match and was asked to wait the entire night to find if it works or I die! In another instance, there was a tiger after me and to save myself I climbed a tree, not a very high one but the tiger was trying to climb and gain on me. I was trying to get help but no one was helping me. I used to wake up full of sweat at night even in AC. But now when there is a bad dream, it changes into a good one I feel someone auspicious is there with me and I know that is none other than Hanuman! If I ever met you I would give you a hug and say thankyou for your guidance!
Jai Sree Ram
Jai Hanuman
Har Har Mahadev
