If Mantras were so simple, that one needs to just chant 108 times a day and get desired results, then would not everyone be able to achieve everything they want in life?
Then why is everyone still stuck and suffering? Because chanting Mantra is one thing and understanding its different parts and applying it to, for your specific situation is a different thing.
VINIYOGA literally means application. Application of that Mantra for the betterment of your life. To give you an analogy, even cooking simple Dal recipe requires multiple ingredients and the right proportions. In the same way, Mantra chanting is a highly technical and structured process. ॐ अस्य श्रीअर्गलास्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य
विष्णुर्ऋषिः,अनुष्टुप् छन्दः,
श्रीमहालक्ष्मीर्देवता,
श्रीजगदम्बाप्रीतये जपे विनियोगः॥
viṣṇur ṛṣiḥ, anuṣṭup chandaḥ,
śrī mahālakṣmīr devatā,
śrī jagadambā prītaye jape viniyogaḥ||
Meaning: This is the Argala Stotra, Rishi is Vishnu, Meter is Anusthup,
Devatha is Mahalakshmi, and I am chanting this (Viniyoga) to get the affection and grace of the Jagadamba.
Hanuman Vadvanala Stotra
समस्तपापक्षयार्थे,
आयुरारोग्यैश्वर्याभिवृद्ध्यर्थे,
श्रीसीतारामचन्द्रप्रीत्यर्थे
samasta pāpa kṣayārthe,
āyur ārogya iśvarya abhivṛddhyarthe,
śrī sītā rāmacandra prītyarthe
Meaning: Destroy all my sins, increase my life span, health and prosperity and abundance, And I am chanting this for the grace and benevolence of Shri Sita Rama Chandra.
